CALAMVALE LEOPARDS      CLUB SONG

Since I've been a leopard, we've played the oval ball.

From Burleigh to Bribie, I guess we've played them all.

When they play the Leopards, the other team will fall.

The Leopards play the best football.

On the ground or in the air, we will beat you fair and square.

In defence or in attack our spirit will never lack.

We're the mighty Leopards,

You should see us score,

We're the mighty Leopards,

And hear our might ROAR!

2023 PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Our club provides local families the facilities for their children to get out in the fresh air, keeping fit all while having fun playing the great sport of AFL.

The committee, umpires, coaches, managers and volunteers are such an important aspect to running a club of this nature. These wonderful people not only make our club function, but their enthusiasm and charisma has a real impact in bringing the best out in others. This makes the Leopards a club our members really want to be involved in with the added benefit of making great friendships a long the way.

We were blessed in our 2023 season with the sun shining bright on game days throughout the competition. All of our 7, Auskick and Superstars Leopards teams benefited enjoying more time on the field with their mates week in and week out.

Our club managed to organise a club day where all of our teams played at our home ground. This gave our junior and youth teams a great opportunity to support one-another play.

It is great to see our junior teams continually increasing notably our Under 8’s fielding 3 teams in the competition plus gaining extra players as the season progressed. Our Auskick and Superstars programs also demonstrate we have great future prospects expanding the club from the grass roots.

The Leopards were proud participants in the Calamvale District Park inaugural ANZAC Day Memorial Service. This service engaged our players hearing reflections of mate-ship, courage, resilience and integrity of the highest order.

When the season came to a close the club teamed up with two of our local businesses, within the community who hosted our junior and youth presentations.

We look forward to seeing our members returning for the kick off of our 2024 season. Better still, we really love to have our members encouraging others to join with the Leopards and are keen to meet our new members beginning with the club in 2024. This really helps the club continue to grow ensuring that the Leopards remain part of the community for many of years to come.

We look forward to another great season in 2024!!
